Learn about the history of wheat flour and how it has shaped culture here and abroad. We will discuss how it is conventionally grown and processed, and explore other, more sustainable and healthy methods of growing and processing flour. Enjoy smelling, touching, and/or tasting alternative flours such as coconut, quinoa, almond, and more. We will make a few dishes using traditionally processed wheat flour, and create a couple delicious dishes using alternative flours.
