About Vanessa

Vanessa studied yoga philosophy, history, and asanas in-depth at The Evergreen State College for four years. When she graduated Evergreen she decided to become a teacher through a 200 hour program at the Wild Grace Teacher Training Program. When she finished she continued to deepen her practice through trainings with renowned teachers such as Shiva Rea and Aadil Palkhivala.  She has taught at Saint Martin's University, Wild Grace, YMCA, Westside Athletic Club, Heart of Wellness, and has taught private and group classes for many years.

"After 4 years of yoga classes, Vanessa's are my favorite.  To each class, she brings clear instruction, intuition, and mixes in bits of yogic philosophy, general health education, cultivation of a connection to the earth, and even humor!  Each class balances resting, strengthening, stretching, balancing, breathing and tension relieving poses- I truly leave each class feeling renewed and revitalized.  I highly recommend Vanessa's yoga  classes!"  Shannon McFall, BA, LMP

“Vanessa provided a great balance of patience and pushing, and met me where I was as a novice while still providing glimpses of the road ahead.” Andrew McLeod, Cooperative Development Specialist
